ORGANIZATION

The Greek Computer Society (EPY) and the Department of Computer Engineering & Informatics of the University of Patras, are organizing the 11th Panhellenic Conference on Informatics (PCI 2007) at Patras, Greece, during 18-20 of May 2007. The PCI is a biannual event established by EPY. The 1st conference took place at Athens (1984), the 2nd at Thessaloniki (1988), the 3rd at Athens (1991), the 4th at Patras (1993), the 5th at Athens (1995), the 6th at Athens (1997), the 7th at Ioannina (1999), the 8th at Nicosia/Cyprus (2001), the 9th at Thessaloniki (2003) and the 10th at Volos.

TOPICS

The conference will run in parallel sessions, with invited talks, research & case study tracks, work-shops tutorials and panels. Authors are invited to submit:

INFORMATION TO AUTHORS

Manuscripts must be submitted electronically in Postscript, PDF, or RTF/DOC format at the conference website, clicking on link "Paper Submission". Manuscripts should not exceed 5,000 words, and must follow the Springer LNCS format. The electronic submission requires the provision of: title, author name(s), abstract, keywords and designated track (Research or Case Studies Track). Also, authors should declare the designated track in the first page of their manuscript. Submitted papers will undergo a peer review process, coordinated by the Program Committee co-Chair. Upon acceptance, camera-ready papers should be formatted according to the style files that will be available for both MS-Word and Latex2e.

LANGUAGE OF THE CONFERENCE

The conference is mainly a forum for information exchange between Greek scientists from Greece, Cyprus and the Diaspora with international participation. So, English will be the official language of the conference (including presentations and proceedings). Non Greek-speaking authors are encouraged to submit papers and participate in the conference, as well.

PROCEEDINGS

PCI 2007 Proceedings will be published by Springer as a volume set in the LNCS series (Approval Pending). The proceedings will also be available on-site.

PANELS and TUTORIALS

Proposals for panels and tutorials should be sent to the address pci2007@ceid.upatras.gr before January 08, 2007. Proposals for panels should contain a title, a list of four to five speakers with their affiliation and an extended summary (1,000 words) on the topic. Proposals for tutorials should contain a title, an extended summary (1,000 words), a short CV and an indication of the targeted audience.
